This is the story of a city girl who married a country boy. Meet Breanne and Blaine Cash. Their beautiful intimate wedding was set on his family farm blending her city elegance with his country charm. Their wedding was carefully crafted with the help of their friends and family and it couldn't have been more perfect! The forecast for the day was originally rain but their prayers were answered because there was nothing but sunshine and the perfect layer of soft cloud!. These two have so much love for each other and both heaven and earth worked together to help them celebrate their special day!Read More
A little peak into Chris & Seraph's beautiful Hacienda Sarria wedding. This wedding was extra special because Chris is my cousin. Welcome to the family Seraph!
A BC city girl met an Albertan country boy and they fell in love. Meet Breanne and Blaine! I loved spending time with these two on Blaine's family farm where Breanne told me stories upon stories of learning about the farm life. B and B are so sweet; their genuine love for each other and the excitement towards their new life together is so contagious! We had planned to visit another place that is near and dear to their hearts, but mother nature had different plans! We braved gusting winds and just went with the flow..and that right there is the farm life! If you can't fight it, embrace it. These two radiate pure love and I absolutely can't wait to capture their August wedding on the Cash Family Farm :)
Sneak peek of Tae and Jes' engagement in Banff!
This weekend I got to visit with Breanne and Blaine on Blaine's farm in Southern Alberta (Seven Persons to be exact)! Blaine is legit a farmer..a multi generational one at that! These two are so sweet and I just love that we captured their engagement in the setting they'll be living and working together on everyday! I can't wait for their wedding this August :) Here is a sneak peek of my session with them!
P.S. Did I mention their last name is Cash?!
..aaand that's all :)

Our styled 'Classic Pooh' baby shower has been featured on Inspired By This! I'll just leave some words eloquently written by the amazing girls at Gathered Table Supply Co:
"This classic Winnie The Pooh baby shower was intended to be a surprise for soon to be mom, Malena. The biggest surprise of all came when baby Romeo arrived five weeks early! We still managed to keep the shower a secret from mom while we pulled together our own Hundred Acre Wood. Hosted by family, this shower was beautifully set against a backyard lake and filled with Winnie the Pooh details.
For us, Winnie the Pooh was an important part of our childhood. Its classic stories and characters sparked our imagination, which made planning this baby shower so much fun! The Winnie the Pooh theme inspired the colour palette of soft blue and honey and is reflected in many of the details of this shower. Janice Lee Photography captured the entire event making for a memorable day for mom and baby.
The day started with the elements working against us: strong winds and chilly temperatures and honestly our initial excitement started to turn into worry on how we were going to execute this and not have everything blow away. We put our heads together and decided to stay optimistic! The ideas started flowing and the real magic began. For example, the banner, which was originally designed as a table runner, ended up being moved inside as a backdrop for the dessert table which in the end was probably better than the original plan! In the end we were all just happy to provide a beautiful and memorable experience for this new mom."

To say that Katie and Nathan's day was a labour of love is a huge understatement. Looking around it was clear to see that these two are surrounded by so much love! Dinner was a DIY taco bar with items contributed by their nearest and dearest (not to mention many were made by the bride herself), the dessert table was full of the bride and groom's favourite homemade desserts from their friends and family, and last but not least their beautiful outdoor venue was their family friend's private acreage. Although it was forecasted to rain, it was nothing but clear skies for their special day! It was such an honour to witness and capture the love shared between these two and their families.
One of the highlights of the day was something I overheard in the ceremony and it goes like this:
Little boy: "It's so powerful."
Dad: "What is?"
Little boy: "L o v e."
This little boy's sentiment represents what I, and probably most guests, felt during their authentic and heart warming ceremony. Katie and Nathan's ceremony was truly centred on worship and I must admit that an abundance of secret tears were shed behind my camera lens throughout the ceremony..
The day ended off with live music provided by their super talented family and friends, not to mention the groom himself who passionately serenaded his new bride with this song.
Congratulations once again Katie and Nathan!
This Valentine's weekend is particularly special for us as two of our closest friends friends got engaged and we couldn't be more happy for them! These two beautiful souls have a passion for life, Christ, and each other (obviously). They have the sweetest proposal story beginning with a heli tour of the rockies (Yoorim LOVES the mountains), a mysterious backpack containing a full picnic (including champagne) that Jeremy whipped out on the side of a lake, and mid-air proposal through the on-air microphone system! Plus, have you seen the ring on that finger!? Thanks for including us in your special moment! Congratulations from the bottom of our hearts as you begin this new journey together!
A little while back I had the extreme privilege of photographing baby Rua and her parents, Zeta and Mary (who happen to be my pastor and his lovely wife!), for her very first photos! Incidentally, it was also my first newborn shoot. I thought it was only fitting to feature baby Rua as my very first blog post..so many firsts with this post!
Needless to say, Rua Faith Lee is an absolute precious gem. The name Rua means 'spirit of God' and flows in both English and Korean. She endured countless outfit and accessory changes and already owns way more hair accessories in her short few weeks than I have probably ever had in my life..
Without further ado, welcome to the world baby Rua!
